We had a great time in Dallas seeing grandmommy and Jojo and all the Unity crew. Much to our surprise, Brynley did an amazing job on her first car road trip. She slept for a little under half of it and then entertained herself with her toys. I worked the night before so I was curled up in a ball snoozing back there with her.
Of course we made a pit stop at In N Out. We definitely looked the part of tourists, taking pictures of Brynley with her first In N Out hat. It was a hit for sure. And we kept the hat for a souvenir, even after she ripped it after tearing it off her head. Jeremy's arms are in most of the shots trying to keep it on for one good pic.
Still couldn't get a picture of her looking at me with the hat on. A few more tries....

And here we go, the best we got. She has a mind of her own after all....
Once again, she showed off her dancing skills. We get so much enjoyment out of watching her learn. She studied the girls intently and then joined in on the fun.
We managed to sneak in dinner with Paul, Marie and the kiddos at an amazing chinese buffet, with real sushi! I was elated to say the least. Brynley had her variety of fruits and veggies of course. She is such a good little eater, we pray it stays that way.
The night didn't go as smoothly. My guess is she was out of her element, but she woke up two times in the middle of the night, both nights, crying for us. Of course, it didn't help that she was in a pack and play right next to our bed so when she saw us she refused to lay back down to go to sleep until I fed her back to sleep.
We started giving her real oatmeal last week and since graduating to this new cereal, she also insists on feeding herself.
She loves hunting for hidden treasures in her diaper bag.
On our way home we made a pit stop at one of my most favorite places for breakfast. The Original Pancake House. The best.
Brynley had pancakes for the first time. She loved them. Of course mommy didn't let her have any butter and syrup, but she doesn't know any different right? She didn't skip a beat so I guess she didn't know what she was missing. The "oh so clever" water bottle on it's side is all Brynley's doing. This way its at the perfect height for just leaning in and it was all her idea. Promise.
The drive home was even more successful than the drive there. She slept for 3 and a half hours. This is unheard of these days. Jeremy and I got to spend some quality time just talking, I really miss that sometimes, getting the time to give each other our undivided attention. It was a much needed vacation and when we got home we had a little stay-cation for the next two days in the comfort of our own bed.
I will end it with this adorable goofy grin....finally got her teeth! Have a blessed week.
