My favorite time of the year

I love the fall in Oklahoma. I love everything about it: the beautiful range of autumn colors all around, pumpkin spice, the cool crisp air, college football, sweatshirts, boots,Thanksgiving celebrations,....I could go on and on. However, my most memorable thing about fall will forever be the day the Lord brought our baby girl into this world.  She is all my favorite things about fall all wrapped up into this magnificent little being.

We took her to her first pumpkin patch a couple weeks ago and she had a blast.  Of course she loved the animals, just like her daddy.  Even tried to kiss them. (above) That was not prompted by the way, all on her own. Hopefully she won't try kissing any dogs through the fence like her daddy did.

Jeremy did an amazing job taking pictures of us but as much as Bryn was moving around, she would have given even the most professional photographer a run for their money.
She is also so used to my face behind my camera that we hardly get smiles anymore.

What a blessed little girl to have such an amazing father. I took this picture just to prove how much she looks like him. You just can't deny it after this one.

She was just infatuated with the camel ride which is what they are both looking at. We thought she was a little too small this year to ride them but that didn't stop her from running over to them every chance she got.

We eat oatmeal every morning for breakfast. Sometimes we add blueberries, sometimes cinnamon, sometimes cherries. This particular morning we had blueberries and more ended up on her than in her mouth. I almost always strip her down to her diaper when she feeds herself her oatmeal but I still have a huge mess to clean up.  Not that I am complaining at all, I love watching her little mind work trying to make every muscle in her hand and arm work in unison to bring that spoon to her mouth. It's fascinating to watch. It's almost like you can read their mind through their eyesThe easiest solution?.....a bath! We REALLY love baths now that I took the little blow up baby tub out and I let her play with the water as it slowly fills the tub. She even helps wash herself now. Such a big girl.

I usually try to get some cleaning down while she is napping because I feel like she is making  another mess right next to me; it's a vicious cycle I don't like to get stuck in. However, the last few days (since our trip to CA to be exact) she dropped one of her naps so that obviously means less time for cleaning.  She has been much more independent lately so while I clean a bit I can leave her in her room with her toys and she will usually play by herself for a bit before she gets bored.

As of late, mommy's little helper loves to watch me sweep and often tries to steal the broom from me so I let her to see what she would do. Pretty amazing.

As I type this I realize that she often tries to help mommy with her chores. She has helped me wash the dishes, put laundry in the wash and take clean out of the dryer, sweep, clean up messes on the floor (with her washcloth), clean her face by herself. Such a good helper.
