Team Davis

Well as you can see with three posts in one day I have a lot of catching up to do here.  Hey, I have admitted to being a procrastinator. Recognizing this as a problem is the first step, which I have already done, so let's move on shall we? :)

As if I didn't already have a lot of things to do for Brynley's birthday party, Jeremy and I decided a week and a half before the party to build a table and benches. Yes, build. We don't just start small, go big or go home! That's got to be our family motto, I've decided. All we had in our arsenal of tools were the things my dad bought us as a wedding gift. One of the best gifts we got. We had a circular saw and all the other misc. things needed (drill, screwdrivers, wood glue, etc). This project had been on my to do list for months {thank you pinterest} and I originally wanted it in the house. However, we thought it would be really nice outside, especially in time for the party since we were going to have a bounce house out there and we had no seating. Well, to make a long story short, we got to building and decided it was too nice to be outside and we brought it inside...exactly what I wanted anyways :)  Happy wife.

The first day we made a couple cuts with our circular saw before having to quit because it got too dark, and realized it was going to take forever! The cuts were rough and uneven. But we were determined.

This is where God stepped in.

We were on our way to lowe's to get a few more things that next morning and saw our neighbor was having a garage sale. Oh how I love garage sales. Jeremy, very graciously asked if I wanted to stop. Yes please! Low and behold, they had an old miter saw for sale for $15! What a blessing

And the finished project, plus the two benches we built the following weekend. Now stained and sealed as well.

Here's what else we have been doing the last couple weeks:

*Coffee parties

*Running errands {with blankie and the stuffed animal of choice for the day}

*Enjoying popsicles outside in the beautiful weather

*Rockin out to music

*Date nights

*TU football games

*Feeding babies

*Feeding Jake

*Yard work

*Watching Beauty and the Beast

*Playing with/styling our hair {she loves to brush mommy's hair}

*Drawing pictures on mommy's phone and {unknowingly} saving them to my picture folder

*Going out for ice cream sundaes

*Cooking mommy food in her kitchen

*Enjoying a popsicle while watching the storm roll in

*And lastly, moving to a big girl bed! Success!
