Your child growing up in what seems like the blink of an eye is something everyone tells you is going to happen, but you never really grasp it until you experience it yourself. Brynley will be a year old in 6 short weeks.....6 weeks!
We went to our first 1 year old birthday party of her friend Brady today. His parents are our best friends and who we celebrated our anniversary in Mexico with because we got married a week apart. As I watched her squeal and stare as he opened his presents my excitement for her birthday party grew. She would walk over so innocently and try to play with his toys too. It's always more fun when one isn't crying because the other took their toy knowing, however, that this will come soon too.
While we were there celebrating this big milestone in his life this concept really hit me, the realization that we she will be a year old and then we will blink and she will be 16 and asking to go to prom. I just pray that we will cherish every moment of her life, and not ever take advantage of the quality time that we do get to spend with her.
My friend Krista came to visit us this week and we had a lot of fun, mostly hanging around the house and playing with Bryn. I am very thankful to have a best friend that cherishes our friendship so much that she visits me every year, without fail.
Brynley even cuddled with her. And if you know our baby girl at all, you know she is not a cuddly baby!
We realized after Brynley was staring Krista down as she was eating a plum that she loves them. Just saying love seems to be a little understated. She was shoving the plum in her mouth with such force that she could have eaten Krista's hand with it. With the leftover plum inside her nostrils after we were done, I am surprised she could even breathe.
Of course, we always love when daddy comes home from work.
Because it has been over two weeks since I last posted, I have many many more pictures and videos to post. Unfortunately, those will have to wait for the next several posts as it would make this one incredibly long to fit all in here and I am one very tired momma.
