More summer fun

As you can see, Brynley has learned something new. The problem is, once she gets up there she can't figure out how to get down. So needless to say, we haven't had an crib escapes, but being stuck makes me more nervous. Thank goodness for a video monitor. Did I mention how crazy good balance this child has?!
Ja'Marc, Synthia and London are making the big move to Texas this week. We came over to spend some time with them, had to leave for a small group in Owasso, and then decided we needed to come back and spend some more time with them. I am so glad we did too because we were able to help box a lot of things up. Wow, still can't believe they are leaving.   Caught a sad face by London, but he was actually pretty happy because Bryn and Harmonee were over to play with him while their parents were hard at work.

We were blessed with a swing set this week. God is so good. We had just been talking about what kind of swing set we were going to get and how expensive they were, when a friend of ours from church called and said that they had been talking about selling it and that afternoon God had put me on her heart and that she was supposed to give it to us. So she called me and I started to cry when she told me. We are so thankful.

Brynley found this bathing suit stashed in a corner in her closet because it doesn't fit right, but she has insisted on wearing it the last several days. I love this toddler stage.
The shoes were icing on the cake. What a diva.

We took a short lunch break before working in the flower bed in the front yard. Naturally, she wanted a tomato. And when we eat tomatoes, we have to take off all our clothes because they leave ugly stains.

And for the record, she ate the whole thing and wanted more. I offered her some cheese instead :)

I had quite the job ahead of me when I decided it was finally time to clean out the flower bed. The tenants didn't keep up with it at all so there were weeds everywhere. And if you remember a few weeks ago, we found a black widow lurking around in there so I was less than thrilled to get this project started. But I put on my big girl pants, bought some gloves, and went to work. As you already know, Bryn is quite inquisitive. She watched me prune a few leaves from the plants and immediately wanted to help. Obviously I didn't get more the a foot away from her because I feared her chopping her little fingertips off the minute I turned around, but she did great. She even stole my gloves.

Of course, after all that hard work, we had to reward ourselves with a chocolate covered banana.

Bathtime!
We got some new floaties to try. After all the hits and misses with different ones, I was prayerfully hoping these would work. And I had to order them because they are so popular that the stores can't keep them on the shelf.

After the first try I was mildly disappointed, I still had to hold her a bit because she kept falling forward and choking on the water. But I am still hopeful that once she gets used to them they will work; I mean, I read hundreds of reviews and not one of them said anything about it not working. I guess we will wait and see.
