Ahhh-haaa....

So I had an ah-ha moment today.  For months now I have been just exhausted, well since Brynley's birth to be exact.  She is almost 10 months now and I still felt just as tired as I was when she was 4 weeks old.  Yes, I do realize that I work nights and that accounts for a lot of the reason I am more tired than most people (even working just two nights a week).  The average morning looks like this: I get up at 7:15 or so when she wakes up, this is after a full nights sleep because she has been sleeping through the night since she was 3 months old. She takes half of her morning feeding, plays for about an hour or so, then takes the second half of her feeding and falls asleep. Usually its about 9-9:30 or so. I then crawl back into bed and take my nap which is usually till about 11:30 when she wakes me up.  I didn't think this was an issue, except for the fact that I got absolutely nothing accomplished (prime time for chores), until I was talking to a friend at work and I made a comment that I still nap with her.  She looked at me like I was crazy...ha! I guess I took it too literally when everyone told me to nap with her.  I didn't know I was supposed to stop that after she was no longer an infant ; ).  So this morning I woke up and with the intent that I was not going to go back to sleep.  And wouldn't you know, I wasn't tired all day.  I got more accomplished today than I have in the last two weeks.  I pulled out the sewing machine and made Jake a dog bed, I cleaned both bathrooms, top to bottom and I steam cleaned and vacuumed all the floors in the house. And this was all before 11:30 this morning.

Our morning ritual. Eat, play, eat, nap.

My morning project: Jake's new bed.  He is a 90 lb lab so yes that bed is very large.

Brynley's most favorite toy.  A blue spikey soft rubber ball.  It used to be a section of a toy caterpillar body that belongs to her cousin London.  She saw it over at there house one day, and the rest is history.  She used to just bite it, now she walks around the house with it sticking out of her mouth.  Her new thing, as of today, is to shove the entire thing in her mouth and then shoot you a goofy grin!

So Jeremy finally got a good video of her adorable waddle/walk.  Every time I try to video her, she walks right to me immediately and I get about 3 seconds before she knocks the camera out of my hands and grins at me : ). This just makes you laugh because you don't realize how much you use your arms for balance until you watch a baby learn to walk. This was taken a few days ago on the 24th so she has improved so much even since then.
How can you not laugh at that?! Love this little girl so much!

Good night!
Heather
