We have been in our new/old house for a month now already. We moved on June 27th, the same day Jeremy had the honor of doing the opening and closing announcements at church. He had a busy day! He did great though, I was a proud wife.
We were blessed with the help of several of our friends, doing all the grunt work. It wouldn't have happened so smoothly and quickly without them.
We adjusted very quickly. Brynley knew her way around in a matter of minutes. Not going to lie, for a week I woke up startled not knowing where I was. Even though we lived in this house for 4 years, we have made so many changes to it as far as furniture placement (even changing the placement of our bed in our master suite) and decor that sometimes it feels like a different house. That's a nice feeling :)

We spent a lot of time in the backyard. It was a nice (and desperately needed) change from the front yard in Owasso. No privacy and I was constantly having to prevent her from running into the street. I was a nervous wreck.
We washed cars. And slides. And mommy's legs. I left the latter two out :)
We have taken our boat out a few times. Being the cautious person Jeremy is, he wanted to take the boat out by ourselves for a bit to make sure it was running well before we took people out on it that weekend. Well, by golly, it's a good thing we did because we nearly got stranded. So, it goes without saying that we didn't take anyone out the next day. Our boat had another appointment with the crosstimbers marina boat shop.
Bryn and I investigated the neighborhood park one afternoon. We didn't last long because the humid summer heat was surrounding us. And all the equipment was really hot too. Not a great experience, but it will be nice once the fall comes upon us.
These next few pics are just some random favorites of mine.
I finally tried to put all her hair up in a pony tail, and we got it! It looked so cute! After a while the top came out so she was rockin the curly bangs.

Here's a sneak peak at how our house decorating is coming along. We didn't get our couch for almost two weeks. And if you want to be more specific, we had already been without couches for over a month and a half before that. It was rough. We were ecstatic when we finally got them in. Of course, we only got to enjoy them for two days before we left for California. We love how it's coming along.
We did our annual baptism bash at Big Splash again this year. I was able to capture some pictures of Jeremy baptizing some people, what a sight to see. I had tears in my eyes. Wish the pictures were more clear but I was using my camera phone on full zoom. But you get the idea.
I wont even go into the part where he forgot to tell me I wasn't supposed to wear a bikini, and I was. NICE. That's all I will say.
Warm weather + a water hose = simple pleasures for a toddler.
This was the day before leaving for California.
One week later and here we are.
We are infatuated with picking things up with kitchen tongs. I am not exaggerating when I say she sat here for 30+ minutes doing this exact thing.
So we are now officially caught up. We played and swam in the backyard this morning before it got too hot. And for the record, its been 106º here lately, so it was only 95º at 9:30 am.
I made some chocolate covered bananas yesterday and thought it would be fun to capture he first experience trying them. Outside in a bathing suit is the perfect setting to make a mess with chocolate. She called it her "choc-it nana" and she had a blast. Later on, when I was showing her the pictures, she looked at her face and said "a mess". Haha. She doesn't like messes. Hopefully that trait sticks.
